Ascona Wedding Photographer: a gorgeous Swiss Destination Wedding at Hotel Giardino Lago in Ticino, Switzerland

Having a destination wedding in Ticino is the best idea ever! This beautiful region in Switzerland has the best combination of cultures and scenery: the Swiss mountains, the warmer weather, palms everywhere (and the soothing and beautiful sound that comes with them in the windy afternoons), the tasty Italian flavours, the dolce-vita vibes but there are also elements that remind me of the times I shot weddings in France or even the Caribbean (yes, some parts of the lake really feel like being on a Caribbean holiday).

Marco & Sarah noticed all of this elements when deciding where and when to get married. And they chose an amazing hotel in Minusio, Switzerland: Hotel Giardino Lago. I must say that this is one of my favorite places to shoot weddings at. The place is gorgeous but not only, the service and the humanity of the people that work for this amazing place is outstanding. I always felt home. The food was delicious and their hospitality was WOW. Hats off for this hotel and their organisation, really!

I remember arriving early morning for the preparations that day. I opened the room’s door and found the most joyous, serene and welcoming bride: Sarah!. She was getting ready with her girlfriends and mom, some coming from faraway cities like London. Music was playing and prosecco was opened to celebrate! They were really having an amazing time! And it really helped my photos… thank you ladies! Then, as always, Gregory Boscaro made an amazing job with the bride’s makeup and made her look splendid and ready for her long day!

The ceremony took place at San Quirico’s church in Minusio, which is a small church just walking distance from the hotel and with a beautiful garden, where Sarah and Marco celebrated their first hours of union with a tasty and relaxing aperitivo!

The reception at Hotel Giardino was like no other. The decorations were so pretty and fresh and the guests organised so many nice activities. Not to mention, the party! Everybody danced and had a good time… and the groom also made us move our feet, while singing along his music band!
